Give the demos a try to see if our plugins run on your system to your liking!

  • Mathew Lane plugins use the well known PACE iLok licensing system.

Our plugins support dongle-free Machine (Host Computer) Authorisation.
A physical iLok USB dongle (iLok2 or iLok3) is optional but NOT required.

Every plugin license can be activated on two locations (computers or iLoks) simultaneously.

All you need is a free iLok user account. If you don’t have one yet, you can create one on iLok.com .

It is required to have the iLok License Manager installed on the computer where the plugin is used, as this manager software includes the necessary drivers and extensions for the plugin license to work.

  • No, our plug-ins support dongle-free Machine (Host Computer) Authorisation.
A physical iLok USB dongle (iLok2 or iLok3) is optional but NOT required.

All you need is a free iLok user account. If you don’t have one yet, you can create one on iLok.com .

  • No, both use the same installer and are identical. The only difference is the License you are using: a temporary Demo License or a Permanent License.

Installation & Activation

  • To install any of our plugins:

    1. Download the installer for your platform from the product pages: DrMSTiCoStereoDelta
    2. Run the downloaded installer and follow the instructions in the install wizard.
    3. Make sure you also have the latest iLok License Manager installed – a free download.

To install our Bundle, simply download and install every individual plug-in.

  • When demo-ing or buying a Mathew Lane plugin, you will receive an iLok License Activation Code.
This iLok License Activation code has the following format: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx
This code is only used for the very first time activation, it places the License inside your iLok account, it has no more use afterwards!

To redeem your iLok License Activation Code and activate your License for the first time:

    1. Run the plugin in your DAW, and choose ‘Activate’ in the pop-up window.
    2. Enter (copy/paste) your iLok License Activation Code.
    3. Login to your iLok user account.
    4. Select a location (Computer or iLok) for your License to activate to.

Always make sure you have the latest iLok License Manager installed.

  • When starting a new Monthly or Yearly subscription via our subscription reseller Scaled Commerce, you’ll get your subscription License posted directly into your iLok account, but it will not yet have been activated to a Computer or iLok.

To activate your subscription License for the first time:

    1. Run any of our plugins in your DAW, and choose ‘Activate’ in the pop-up window.
    2. No need to enter any redeem Code, just choose ‘No’ to continue.
    3. Login to your iLok user account.
    4. Select a location (Computer or iLok) for your subscription License to activate to.

Your subscription License will automatically renew as long as your subscription plan with Scaled Commerce remains active.

Always make sure you have the latest iLok License Manager installed.

  • You can activate a single License of any Mathew Lane plugin or bundle to 2 locations at the same time.

After the 1st (initial) activation, you can activate a License on a 2nd location as follows:

    1. Run the plugin in your DAW, and choose ‘Activate’ in the pop-up window.
    2. Don’t enter your already redeemed Code, but choose ‘No’ to continue.
    3. Login to your iLok user account.
    4. Select your available License and then a location (Computer or iLok) to activate it to.

Always make sure you have the latest iLok License Manager installed.

  • When moving from an ‘old’ Computer to a ‘new’ Computer (incl. system re-installs!), you MUST first DEACTIVATE any License activations (Machine Authorisations) from the ‘old’ Computer BEFORE wiping or selling it!

An iLok USB dongle can however simply be plugged over – all activations on it are taken with it!

First, Deactivate every License from the ‘old’ Computer:

    1. Open the iLok License Manager on your ‘old’ Computer and login to your iLok account.
    2. Select the Computer icon in the ‘Local’ panel on the left.
    3. Right-click every License in the list on the right and choose ‘Deactivate’.

Next, re-Activate your Licenses on the ‘new’ Computer:

In case you no longer have access to your ‘old’ Computer system, please reach out via the Support form.

Always make sure you have the latest iLok License Manager installed.

  • You can use the 14 day Demo License only once per plugin.

If you’d like an additional demo period however for any good reason, we can manually post a 14 day Trial Extension License into your iLok account. Please reach out via the Support form and be sure to include your iLok account so we know where to post the Trial Extension License.

Technical

  • On OSX:

    • AAX: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins
    • AU: Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
    • VST: Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
    • VST3: Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
    • Extra: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Mathew Lane

    On Windows 64-bit:

    • AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
    • VST: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins
    • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
    • Extra: C:\ProgramData\Mathew Lane\ (hidden folder)

    On Windows 32-bit:

    • AAX: C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins
    • VST: C:\Program Files(x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins
    • VST3: C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\VST3
    • Extra: C:\ProgramData\Mathew Lane\ (hidden folder)
  • With Logic Pro there can be a case where it does not look at the system wide AudioUnits folder – where our plugins are installed by default – but at the user specific AudioUnits folder.
The solution is to copy (or move) over our plugins from the system wide folder to the user specific folder:
    • From the system wide AudioUnits folder:
      Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
    • To the user specific AudioUnits folder (hidden by default – see note below):
      Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
NOTE: to access the (hidden) user specific folder, you need open the user specific Library first by pressing ‘option’ while being in the Finder -> Go menu. A link to the user specific Library will appear to open a window from where you can further browse to its Audio/Plug-Ins/Components folder.
  • First, delete the old DrMS.aaxplugin and/or StereoDelta.aaxplugin from the following folder:
    Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

Then run the new plugin version installer(s) again, all will be fine now!

  • This can happen if Windows is set to use ‘high DPI scaling’ in your Display settings. You can turn off ‘high DPI scaling’ specifically for your DAW as follows:

    1. Right click on your DAW icon / shortcut
    2. Select ‘Properties’
    3. Select ‘Compatibility’
    4. Click on ‘Change high DPI settings’
    5. Check box ‘Override high DPI scaling behavior’
    6. Select ‘System (Enhanced)’ or ‘System’, depending on what works best for you
    7. Click ‘OK’
    8. Click ‘Apply’
  • If you have previously installed an older version of DrMS or StereoDelta, it’s possible that the then installed PlugIn.ico file was read-only and cannot be overwritten without your permission. No worries, go ahead and allow the new plug-in to overwrite the old one!

  • For OSX High Sierra and up, you simply need to update to DrMS v5.2 or higher and all is good again!
