The final treatment. Different mixes come together on an album, or a single song will be played between others on the radio. Mastering makes sure everything fits together and that the mix translates to different playback systems. At the same time, the goal is to give your music the final touch and make it sound even better then it did before. Mastering without time pressure. Mastering is also charged per song rather then per hour. Again this is to avoid the pressure of an hourly fee. Special package deals for multiple tracks are common. Preparing for mastering. All the mixes need to be supplied in their original format, together with the order you would like to have them in. You are encouraged to supply the ISRC codes as well as the CD's UPC, so they will part of the master, making it ready for release. If you only require musical mastering, you won't need those. Ready for action! To arrange for mastering or if you have any further questions, please contact me. I tend to master alone, but of course you're welcome to come by and check the master in person or to listen to it over the internet as soon as I have a first version ready. Based on your comments, I'll finish the master afterwards. |
