Biography

Mathijs Indesteege was born in 1981 in Belgium. Mathew Lane is a loose English translation of his Flemish name.

Mathijs started with music at very young age, playing the violin from the age of 4 and keyboards just a few years later. He started composing music even before his teenager years.

Around the age of 12, he had a small own homestudio based around a computer and a few midi-instruments. Since then the homestudio has been growing over the years into a mixing and mastering studio with a selection of the very finest gear around.

In the mean time, Mathijs studied engineering science at the university of Leuven, after which he went to the music conservatory of Ghent where he studied Music Production.

Currently, Mathijs is an independent music professional working mainly as a mixing, mastering and audio restoration engineer, but doing some recording and production gigs as well.
Mathijs also is the digital audio product support engineer of Joystick Audio, the Benelux high-end pro audio distributor.
Besides that, he teaches music production at the music academy of Herentals and is moderator at the online pro audio forum Gearslutz.com using the nickname DrDeltaM.
In July 2008 Mathijs released the DrMS plugin, adding audio software design to his activities.
