Biography Mathijs Indesteege was born in 1981 in Belgium. Mathew Lane is a loose English translation of his Flemish name. Mathijs started with music at very young age, playing the violin from the age of 4 and keyboards just a few years later. He started composing music even before his teenager years. Around the age of 12, he had a small own homestudio based around a computer and a few midi-instruments. Since then the homestudio has been growing over the years into a mixing and mastering studio with a selection of the very finest gear around. In the mean time, Mathijs studied engineering science at the university of Leuven, after which he went to the music conservatory of Ghent where he studied Music Production. Currently, Mathijs is an independent music professional working mainly as a mixing, mastering and audio restoration engineer, but doing some recording and production gigs as well.
